The field app
A phone app for the crew, not the competitors.
The people running the event get a companion app for the field. They use it to collect controls, check water points, and log the safety drives, and it stays in step with everyone else on the hub. Competitors never touch it.
Control collection
Bring the controls in without losing track.
When it's time to pack up, the course is split between collectors and each one works off the map on their phone. Mark a control as it comes back, and everyone can see what's still out on the course, without radioing base to ask who has what.
Water and safety
Track the water and the safety drives as they happen.
See what each water point holds, what's been checked, and what's due next. Log which safety car is out and where it went. It's the running state of the day, kept in the app instead of on a clipboard back at base.
What it tracks
- Water points with their drums and food, and how full each one is.
- Checks as they happen: who looked, when, and what's due next.
- Safety drives showing which car is out and where it went.
Everyone helping
Free for every person running the event.
The phone apps cost nothing, and there's no cap on how many people use them. Everyone helping on the day gets a login, sees the same plan, and can pick up jobs. The one licence the association buys covers all of it.
Off the grid
It works where there's no signal.
Out on the course there's no reception, so the field app doesn't lean on it. On the day everyone's phones run off the hub's own network, and it syncs to the cloud when someone gets signal.
